Terms of use
Last updated
In plain language
Use the app for your own shop. Pro is an auto-renewing subscription billed by Apple or Google, and you can cancel it any time in your store settings.
InventoryBuddy is an app for tracking inventory, sold on the App Store and Google Play. These terms cover your use of it. By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
Your licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use InventoryBuddy on devices you own or control, for your own selling. You may not resell, redistribute or reverse engineer the app, or try to extract its source code, except where the law says you may.
Your data and backups
InventoryBuddy stores your inventory on your device. We don’t keep a copy of it. You are responsible for your own backups, and the app gives you free tools to make them: CSV export, backup and restore, and optional backup to your own iCloud Drive or Google Drive. If you lose your device with no backup, we cannot recover your data for you.
Free plan and Pro
The free plan covers up to 50 products. Pro is an optional paid upgrade that adds unlimited products, CSV import, printable barcode and QR labels, reports and multiple businesses.
Subscriptions, billing and renewal
Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through the App Store or Google Play. The store you buy from handles the payment.
- Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account when you confirm the purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
- The price is shown in the store before you buy. If we change the price, it applies from your next period, and only where the store requires your consent.
Refunds
Apple and Google handle refunds under their own policies, so we cannot issue them directly. Please contact the store you bought from.
Restoring a purchase
On a new device, install the app and tap Restore purchases while signed in to the same Apple or Google account. Your purchase is tied to that account, not to the device.
Acceptable use
Don’t use InventoryBuddy to break the law or infringe anyone’s rights, and don’t try to interfere with the app or the services it relies on.
Availability and changes
We may add, change or remove features and release updates. We don’t promise the app will always be available or free of errors. Barcode scanning, notifications and printing depend on your device and its permissions.
Estimates, not advice
Inventory value figures and reports are estimates based on the prices you enter. They are not accounting, tax or financial advice.
No warranty
To the extent the law allows, InventoryBuddy is provided “as is” and we exclude all warranties, including that it will be uninterrupted, accurate or fit for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits consumer rights you have that cannot be excluded.
Ending this agreement
You can stop using the app at any time and delete it. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make a material change we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [governing jurisdiction].
