Privacy policy

InventoryBuddy keeps your inventory on your device. There is no account, and we never receive your products, stock levels, prices, photos or backups.

What stays on your device#

Products, categories, stock movements, photos, settings, CSV exports and backup files. A backup goes only where you choose to save or share it, such as iCloud Drive or Google Drive.

What leaves your device#

• Onboarding answers (anonymous). When you finish onboarding, the app sends your answers once: what you sell, where you sell, how you track stock today, rough catalogue size, currency, the first step you picked, whether you turned alerts on, and your platform (iOS or Android). They are stored with RevenueCat (below) against the same anonymous app user ID, with no name, email or inventory data. We use them only to improve the app and its upgrade offers.
• Anonymous usage analytics. The app sends PostHog (https://posthog.com/privacy) which screens you open and when the app is opened or closed, with an anonymous random ID, device model, OS and app version. No name, email or inventory data, and no session recordings.
• Purchases. Subscriptions are processed by Apple or Google and managed through RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase history so Pro works and can be restored. See https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.

We don’t use advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs, and we don’t sell data.

Permissions#

Camera (barcode scanning and product photos), photos (choosing a product photo), notifications (low-stock alerts) and Bluetooth (label printers). Each one is used only for that feature, on the device.

Deleting your data#

Delete the app to remove everything on the device. To have your anonymous survey answers, usage events and purchase record removed from RevenueCat and PostHog, email support@getinventorybuddy.com. We can’t link them to you, so tell us roughly when you installed the app.
